Wingfield Plantation is the ruins of the original sugar plantation manor house that is known as Romney Manor. The original historic house is the home of the Caribelle Batik. Wingfield is the oldest plantation on the island and it is the gateway to the rain forest. Many visit this historic spot to view its beautiful botanical gardens, hike the rain forest and examine the plantation ruins. Guided tours of the rain forest can be arranged, or you can simply walk amongst the ruins and dream of how life used to be.
