Bars

This 17th century Creole House has a gingerbread exterior painted in pale tangerine, peach and teal. It is surrounded by beautiful gardens and large trees. The decor is casual and friendly. It is decorated with Batik wall hangings and woodcarvings.

The dining rooms are small and tables are set with lace tablecloths and fresh flowers. There is a comfortable bar in the back room. Typical menu items include Wahoo, a local fish cooked in a delightful Creole sauce, or lobster simmering in lemon butter, or the islander’s favourites of goat water, pickled pigs feet (locally known as “souse”), jerk chicken and salt fish.
